[MG100] week 20.19 - positive vibrations!
Just a Walk in the Park
So much good stuff, so little time, so I'll be brief: lots of warm words and hot offers in this weekly message so please read, attend and download so that you can get all the goodness we have to share! My LPR group says "we are sending you positive vibrations!"
From Frances
Dear Scott and the 100 Coaches,
Thank you again for your important work keeping us all connected. It has been interesting to hear from many colleagues, collaborators and leaders who have shared with us their own challenges and digital opportunities during this uncertain time. Nonprofit organizations are particularly challenged, as they work with communities whose needs haven’t changed, while the way we work in the world has been turned up-side-down in many ways. It is inspiring to see how they are reinventing themselves. University students and faculty are working hard to adapt to and excel in exceptionally speedy transitions to remote environments, and educational TV is shifting into overdrive. Not to mention the front line responders and their families. Quality, character, courage, and "beyond the call" describe those who respond to these unexpected national pandemics. We are all being challenged. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this disease. Our team at the Hesselbein Forum has created a FREE virtual issue of our award-winning Journal, Leader to Leader. We've curated Leader to Leader articles that leaders will find relevant and practical in the crucial weeks and months ahead. Please share this issue, “Leading Through Coronavirus” widely! Fondly, Frances
Big News: if you have a methodology, you now have an app for that!
Denise Hummel is looking to partner with you with her behavior-change technology which has won multiple awards and is now in the “Co-Sell” program with Microsoft. Her company, now called RevWork, Inc. (www.RevWork.ai) is being used by enterprise for behaviors related to remote teams, sales enablement, innovation and M&A integration (the M&A co-developer on the content is, you guessed it, Price Pritchett!). Feel free to send on enterprise clients and channel partners, but most importantly, if you have a methodology, you can now have an app that uses the neuroscience of behavior change as the engine for what you’re trying to teach. That gives your following the ability to reinforce the behaviors you’re trying to sustain and gives you a passive revenue stream and new product. Contact Denise at +1.760.696.0151 or denise.hummel@revwork.ai.
EXTRA! EXTRA! If you don’t know what the impact of Corona Virus will be, now you know!
Martin Lindstrom previewed his insights on our Core Call last Thursday. 12 years after Buyology’s publication, he has released an exclusive pocketbook on the human impact of coronavirus. His visionary mindset helps you prepare for our post-pandemic world. With fascinating insights from his neuroscience work, he explores how businesses should navigate the opportunities and pitfalls of this newly transformed landscape. Please get your copy and share with your friends, clients and country folk - this is a must-read (or skim) https://www.martinlindstrom.com/buyology-pocketbook-partners/
A reward for reading this far from Ayse Birsel
There are some changes that are positive worth mentioning. I have never seen so many people expressing gratitude; saying I love you to people they haven’t talked in years; checking in on each other and asking how they can help; my kids talking with their friends across the globe and laughing their heads off, something I was never privy to before because they would be off somewhere outside the home; kids seeing how their parents work and manage a crisis; parents seeing their kids work and manage a crisis and for a period in time our lives being one instead of parallel lives; a much more organic lifestyle where people meditating in the middle of their day and napping and then going back to a ZOOM meeting; instead of life-work balance, life and work being one where work people meeting each other's families, pets, seeing each other’s home environments; people making food, eating dinner at home and conversations around the table and around ZOOM that we didn’t have before…making us more human.
And last (but not least) Please support our good friends on Wed May 6th: Thinkers50 and Outthinker
On May 6, Thinkers50 and Outthinker are organizing a unique webinar extravaganza. It features 24 speakers drawn from the Thinkers50 community — Marshall is one of the stars alongside Rosabeth Moss Kanter, Dan Pink, Amy Edmondson, and many more. The event stretches over an entire day with a different speaker each hour. Participants will be able to access content for a year and, most importantly, ALL of the profits go to charities in the US and Europe which are fighting Covid-19 or helping alleviate the misery the virus has caused. The event costs an amazing $99. Please check out the event website reimaginethefuture.io and tell the world!
And, as always, thank you, Marshall, for making all of this possible
With love and gratitude
Scott
