[MG100] week 20.22 - our hearts are heavy
I know that I speak for all of us when I express grief, sorrow, disbelief, and compassion for the many people who have been directly, indirectly, and generationally affected by the events that erupted in Minneapolis, have spread across the country and began long ago in dark places that are still too present. Our daily call yesterday was dedicated to sharing and learning and we will continue today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday) Even in the context of the pandemic, the trauma and loss are overwhelming.

Jared Fishman is a former federal civil rights prosecutor and the founder of Justice Innovation Lab, an organization that assists prosecutors to reduce racial disparities and improve the fairness of justice in their jurisdictions. Previously as a senior civil rights prosecutor, Jared led all aspects of the investigation and prosecution of complex federal civil rights matters, including grand jury investigations, plea negotiations, motions practice, trial, and sentencing. Provided training to domestic and international agencies on human trafficking, hate crimes, and police abuse. Appeared before district courts and grand juries in over 20 jurisdictions.

Her current work is A Symphony of Inclusion. Oshoke, an architect and futurist, was the Chief Architect for MetLife’s $1 billion inclusive workplace redesign. She pioneers human-centered design solutions that infuse consciousness, energy flow, and inclusivity into global workplace transformations. She is a gifted design thinker and diversity advocate who has moved the needle, shattered glass ceilings and enabled a broader conversation on diversity for organizations. Happy Tuesday! For those of you that I have not been able to tell personally, after two decades with Marshall Goldsmith Inc., I will be moving on from my role as COO in early June. I am excited to move into full-time creative partner and advisor to world-class clients like Alan Mulally and Connie Dieken, in the areas of content, book, brand, and audience development. I will continue to be part of and work closely with 100 Coaches and 100 Coaches Europe, so I don’t look at this as “leaving,” I look at it as “moving” to another position within the same lovely family.
