[MG100] week 250 wedding bells
I am delighted to share that on Sunday, June 21, Hortense Le Gentil and Hubert Joly were married in a virtual ceremony that spanned the globe. Tasha Eurich was the maid of honor, Marshall Goldsmith was best man, and James Citrin was a groomsman. The stars of the day were, of course, the bride and groom who melted the hearts of all attendees and transcended the technology to demonstrate that love truly has no limits. it was beautiful, emotional, intimate, and worldly, just like the couple themselves. it was so special to see life continue as it was meant to be, even in a world as turned upside down as ours is now. While there was certainly a lot of gazing between H + H, the couple can be best summed up by Antoine de Saint-Exupery "Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." Speaking for us all, we wish you health, happiness and a life of joy and fulfillment.

John Baldoni’s new book on the power of GRACE is a must-read for all of us and particularly for anyone seeking to serve in a leadership role. In a world where good manners and courtesy sometimes seem to have gone out of style, this book is a practical guide for bettering relationships in all types of human connections. In a spiritual sense, grace is unearned and as such, it is yours to use for the betterment of self and others. Grace as a gift is a catalyst for positive change to enable the greater good.
Baldoni’s GRACE mixes stories of everyday heroes with interviews of notable thought leaders. The results give practical insights into generosity, respect, and compassion coupled with the energy and actions it takes to deliver on these virtues. Creating an acronym, Baldoni helps us distinguish the attributes of grace in Generosity, Respect, Action, Compassion, and Energy.
The #1 Job in America Today by Dr. Richard Osibanjo
The #1 job in America right now is for all of us to do the work of reconciliation. There is a lot of tension in the country right now and people are taking sides. I believe we are all created equal, and that all lives matter. In addition, I know that Black lives are disproportionately affected when it comes to police brutality, income inequality, workplace opportunities, even access to healthcare during this current COVID-19 pandemic. The point shouldn't be Black Lives Matter versus All Lives Matter.... We should all focus on how we can address the current pain (police brutality) that is experienced mainly within the black community, and then ensure that we have an inclusive environment where all groups can thrive. In his insightful article which you can find here the doctor prescribes: Give Grace, Be slow to judge others, Have more first-hand encounters, and Forgive. America is in pain right now. She is crying out your name. Are you going to wait on the sidelines or are you going to answer her call? Are you going to become a reconciliation agent?
